Getting to the Start

To get comfortably to the start you are advised to take public transport. The trains from Munich, Vienna and other big cities in Austria go regularly even on sundays. Just have a look at the timetables of Österreichische Bundesbahnen, Westbahn and Deutsche Bahn. In Salzburg, the best solution is to go by bus.

Going by bus

From the northern city area or the main train station you take the Obus line 6 leads you directly to the station “Volksgarten“. From different directions of the city you reach “Volksgarten“ by the bus lines 6, 7 and 10 as-well as the station „Äußerer Stein“ from southern direction with the bus lines 3, 5 or 8.

Going by car – Parking

  • “Altstadt“ garages (reduced rate). Start area at the Universitätsplatz can be reached within a five-minutes-walk.

  • Park & Ride in the south of Salzburg: Take the Obus lines 3 or 8 to the city center (on Sunday every 10 minutes).

There is no parking at the event area.
